Today I sat down with Lucas and asked him a few questions about his work here at MB.
KDK: How long have you worked at MB?
LZ: 21 years
What do you like the most about working at MB?
I really enjoy being able to be innovative and think outside the box to solve problems. I also like the broad variety of projects that I work on.
Can you give me an example of a recent project you enjoyed in particular?
We retrofitted a spiral freezer for pizza dough application for a local PNW bakery.
What did you enjoy the most about this project?
I got to work with a new industry while applying skills and knowledge from working with fish processing equipment and I got to learn a whole lot while doing it.
What about the current industry, do you have any hands-on experience with BAADER machines?
I spent a few seasons working in Alaska in a BAADER department.
What did you enjoy about that?
I got to work in very challenging conditions on the Bearing Sea and see our products in action.
What would be a dream project for you?
I would be very excited to help with any challenges involving improving efficiency or redesigning machines or tools.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I enjoy spending time outdoors with my wife and two boys; hiking, and biking. I also love trying out new recipes and foods.
